We are an independent production company based in Thuringia, dedicated to the art of contained genre films with modest budgets. Our passion lies in crafting stories that unfold within confined spaces, where tension and imagination converge to create cinematic magic. By harnessing the power of the unseen, we transform limitation into a compelling narrative force. Contained Light UG was found in March 2022 by screenwriter Michael Knoll and director Lorenz Piehl to embark the journey of our first contained thriller, set in a radio studio in Burbank. Featuring an international cast we strive to use every asset wisely, transforming constraints into creative opportunities. Our goal is to demonstrate the unique magic such small setting can bring to the screen, showcasing how ingenuity can thrive within boundaries.
